, Bartłomiej ZaranekBartłomiej Zaranek (born in 1971, Warsaw).
He graduated in journalism at the University of Warsaw. Since 1997 he has been professionally involved in photography. The exhibition can be viewed from 10/10/08 to 09/11/08

Luksfera Gallery invites you to an exhibition of photographs by Roma Roman and Bartłomiej Zaranek

"Fifi" is a photographic fairy tale about the human psyche...
The protagonist looks into a mirror that guides her to the inner world of emotions and experiences. There she notices Fifi - a fairy-tale character - whose "adventures" are a metaphor for the real world. Each photo leads us through different emotions and reveals new (usually hidden) secrets of the human mind. The authors have created a funny and scary world at the same time, fairy-tale but harsh. This combination of fantasy and reality is a pretext to reflect on the complexity of human nature. Everything with a slight grain of salt. The game of finding meanings and symbols dressed in fairy-tale garments is to make the viewer also, without fear, want to look at "The Mirror".
